The indigo field

Small paisleys cover a deep indigo ground from end to end, broken only by linear decorative bands in pale blue with touches of yellow, green and . The overall read is almost monochrome, with the accents doing quiet work up close.

The dupatta finishes in fringe, which is the detail that saves this from being a plain dark set.

Wearing it

Indigo is the easiest dark to wear in warm weather because it never looks heavy. Pair it with silver or terracotta jewellery and a pale blue or inner. It carries office wear through to an evening out with no change of styling.

Deep indigo block prints are common in cotton and scarce on silk - this is the same craft with drape and sheen behind it.
