Faye Ruby Engagement Ring Set in Black Ruthenium
A ring set for dramatic, vintage-edged love
Faye is for the woman who wants her ring to smoulder a little. That deep red pear-cut ruby against darkened metal reads like candlelight in a shadowed room—striking as an alternative engagement ring, a gothic promise ring, or a bold July birthday gift. It sits beautifully among our gothic rings and dark-romance designs, and pairs with matching bands from our gemstone collection.
Pear-cut ruby
The center is a lab-grown ruby in a pear / teardrop cut, 8 x 6 mm (approx. 1.5 ctw)—a vivid, saturated red, the storied color of the July birthstone and its symbolism of passion and vitality. A lab-grown ruby shares the same brilliant properties as a mined one, with beautifully consistent color and clarity, and ruby ranks 9 on the Mohs scale—wonderfully suited to everyday wear. Simulated diamond (CZ) accents add brilliance around it.
The blackened-silver finish
The moody tone comes from a high-polish black ruthenium—a rare platinum-family metal—plated over solid 925 sterling silver, for a deep gunmetal, blackened-silver glow that makes the red stone burn brighter. Prefer a lighter look? Solid silver and solid gold versions are available if you'd rather skip the plating.
